I am a general surgery intern beginning my residency training at Southern Illinois University. I attended medical school at the University of Kentucky. CMDA has been a tremendous part of my life and growth over the last 4 years. I know that residency is often a "black hole" for many, and I want to avoid the pit at all costs! It is my prayer that this journal will bless and encourage your heart and that together we can grow in this time of change , grueling “scut work,” intense hours, and unbelievable responsibilities.
